What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments and Reviews

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Within the Pour Tour & More application for android and iOS, users are asked to leave reviews. There we will collect an optional comment, a rating, and an optional image. These will be publicly viewable.

User Profiles and PTM Experience addresses

Within the Pour Tour & More application for android and iOS, users are required to give their first name, last name, address, age, email address, an image of the user, and brief personal description. Most of this is only for identity and age verification. A user’s personal address, age, and last name are never shared publicly. Only the email addresses of hosts and guests will be shared with each other upon PTM Experience booking confirmation. A user’s image, bio, and first name will be publicly viewable in their profile. When a user creates a PTM Experience, they must provide an address where the PTM Experience is to take place. This is only made available to guests upon booking confirmation, and is not otherwise shared or published by our service.

Payment Information

Within the Pour Tour & More application for android and iOS, users wishing to book a PTM Experience will be asked to pay via credit card. We use Stripe as our payment gateway, and comply with their standards. A user’s credit card information is used for the immediate PTM Experience booking transaction and/or refund via Stripe, and is never persisted by our service.

Payments on the website in our merch store are handled by Ecwid.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you opt into the mailing list with mailchimp, your email will be used to contact you through mailchimp. If you enter your email into the hotjar feedback plugin, your email may be used to follow up on your feedback. In either case, these data will be kept indefinitely, and can be deleted from our records within either service upon request. Furthermore, an email address is needed to use the Pour Tour & More application on android and iOS. At a minimum, the email address given there will be used to notify you of PTM Experience bookings (confirmations, cancellations, etc). Within the Pour Tour & More application for android and iOS, you will also be given the option to opt in to the mailchimp mailing list, as described above.

Who we share your data with

For the sake of SEO and UX enhancement, this site shares data with Google Analytics, hotjar, and other plugins like the wordpress jetpack.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
